Watermelon Cucumber Smoothie

My usual  method for enjoying veggies and some fruits involves a big ol’ salad. But it’s nice to have another option to change things up from time to time.

This cucumber melon smoothie provides the option to drink two of the most hydrating veggies and fruits available, with a healthful dose of vitamins and minerals. It has just a hint of natural sweetness and tastes great on a warm sunny day.

You can make this hydrating smoothie with just 3 simple ingredients. And it’s a snap to whip up!


THE RECIPE

CUCUMBER MELON SMOOTHIE

~ Makes  3 to 4 Cups ~

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of watermelon chunks, seeds removed
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup of water

Preparation:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour over ice or serve in a chilled glass and enjoy!

I like to chill the glass in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before filling it up.
